PureActiv software integrates with Genetec's Security Center to detect real size, real speed, real location and real-time

PHOENIX, Ariz. - PureTech Systems, a leader in geospatial video analytics, today announced that its PureActiv video analytics solution has been integrated with Genetec's video management software (VMS), Security Center. The integration allows PureTech's customers to utilize advanced features, such as real object size, real target size and real location (3D-latitude, longitude and elevation) in their detection efforts, all real-time within Security Center.

Security Center is Genetec's unified security platform that blends IP video surveillance, access control, and automatic number plate recognition systems. The announced integration means the full suite of PureTech Systems' intelligent video analytic algorithms will be actionable from within Security Center's video surveillance system. In addition to the geospatial analytics: real object size, real cross track speed, real forward track speed and real position, the integration provides a host of zone based (wrong direction, entering zone, leaving zone, etc.) and behavioral analytics (crowding, dropped object, loitering, etc.). The integration also includes PureActiv's learning background algorithm which reduces nuisance alarms and allows for high accuracy detection even with substantial background movement.

"We are pleased to work with Genetec to fully align our video analytic technologies to enhance the effectiveness of today's surveillance systems," says Eric Olson, Vice President of Marketing at PureTech Systems. "This integration is just the first step for PureTech Systems to continue to work with Genetec to provide our customers with the most advanced video detection and analytical capabilities."

PureTech Systems specializes in long range outdoor video-based detection. The design of its PureActiv video analytic algorithms are based on this objective. The resulting integration will allow Security Center users to enhance their systems with better detection at greater distances, resulting in both cost and performance benefits. The integration took place at PureTech's headquarters in Phoenix, AZ, with the first integrated system currently being installed as part of a mobile, city-wide surveillance customer application, monitoring for disturbance type events, including traffic situations, vandalism, etc.
