Bethesda, MD – April 1, 2013 – In response to the growing demand from commercial landlords and tenants for the provision of outsourced access control services, Datawatch Systems has hired Todd Lewers, a 25-year veteran property management and commercial real estate industry professional.
Based in Datawatch Systems Bethesda, MD headquarters, Lewers, Director, joins Mike Gauer, vice president of business development, who has been with the company for more than two years, in spearheading and expanding new business development initiatives throughout the southeastern region of the United States. His focus is on implementing strategic plans and enhancing client relationships through CRM programming and revenue modeling.
Prior to joining Datawatch Systems, Lewers was with Youngstown, Ohio-based Roth Bros., Inc., a Sodexo Company, where he served as Co-Director, Federal Programs. Before that, he developed and executed nationwide business plans for HCS Roofing LLC and SpectraSite Building Group, Inc., where he specialized in expanding each company’s footprint and industry penetration through creative partnerships and cutting-edge cooperative purchasing contracting practices.
Earlier, Lewers served as Executive Vice President at JMB Realty Corporation and Heitman Properties, coordinating the management team’s due diligence efforts in acquiring new assets and redeveloping existing properties while procuring third party property management and leasing assignments from institutional real estate owners.
Mr. Lewers graduated from Virginia Polytechnic Institute & State University and received his bachelor’s degree in Public Administration. He is a Certified Property Manager (CPM) through the Institute of Real Estate Management. He served as chairperson for BOMA’s (Building Owners & Managers Association) National Advisory Council (NAC) and currently serves as a member of the White Flint Sector Plan’s Implementation Advisory Council, a 430-acre master plan initiative in Montgomery County, Maryland.
