Sony Electronics’ Security Systems Division expands U.S. sales team

Goals are comprehensive regional support and increased customer responsiveness

Sony Electronics’ Security Systems Division is expanding its sales organization with a realigned structure designed to fully support U.S. customers’ needs in the security and surveillance industries.

The Sony security sales team now includes three new regional sales managers: Jason King, Central North zone; Carl DeGroat, Mid-Atlantic zone; and Phil Coppola, Northeast zone. In addition, Bob Gitre joins the team as strategic alliance and solution development manager, with the added role of promoting Sony’s scalable management sSoftware.

Other changes include Chris Wyler’s promotion to national strategic system integrator account manager and Ken Darby’s promotion to east coast team leader.

Each member of the team has a wealth of invaluable expertise in sales and business development and managing customer and partner relationships specifically in the security industry. Sony’s new sales structure places its teams in strategic regional locations throughout the country, and makes Sony uniquely positioned to provide comprehensive systems solutions.

“Our industry is rapidly changing and customers’ needs are evolving beyond products to full-scale solutions,” said Mark Collett, general manager of Sony’s Security Systems Division. “It’s critical to have a sales team in place that can not only respond to customers, but also anticipate changes in the market and be ready to adapt with the right approach.  Now, we are even more equipped than ever before to do that.”
