Kratos Public Safety & Security Solutions Division appoints James Cotter as senior VP

Cotter steps into newly established government solutions sector

San Diego, CA -- June 03, 2013 (GLOBAL NEWSWIRE) – Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. (Nasdaq: KTOS), a leading National Security Solutions provider, today announced that its Public Safety & Security (PSS) division has appointed James Cotter as the Senior VP of the Government Solutions Sector. In his new position, Mr. Cotter will be responsible for working closely with senior leadership to leverage Kratos PSS’ significant qualifications to research, identify, and ultimately capture opportunities in the growing DoD/DHS security market. In addition, he will be responsible for working across the Kratos PSS division to create and execute strategic plans, as well as a number of business development and operations initiatives. Mr. Cotter brings with him a strong background in security and government solutions. He has been with Kratos since December 2007 when he came on board as part of the Haverstick/DTI acquisition. At Haverstick/DTI he served as the Vice President of Operations & Strategy, and prior to that, in a number of Program/Project Manager positions supporting the company’s U.S. Navy clients. Including his time with Haverstick/DTI, he has now worked for the Kratos for over 23 years. Mr. Cotter holds a BS degree in Electrical Engineering and an MBA, both from the University of Maryland.
