Acquired Security Communications Audio Network Corporation to extend reach into affluent NY area

Newtown Square, Pa.— June 26, 2013 -- Alarm Capital Alliance (ACA) today announced that it has acquired Security Communications Audio Network Corporation (SCAN). Based in Southampton, NY, SCAN has been serving the Hamptons since the early 1980s, amassing over $170,000 in RMR. As ACA enters this new, affluent market, they will maintain the regional branch office which allows ACA to implement its marketing and growth strategy. With this acquisition, ACA now has more than 140,000 customers nationwide.
“The owners built and ran a fantastic operation over the last 32 years, and we are excited to enter the Hamptons with such a stable, well-managed account base,” said Anastasia Bottos, Chief Business Development Officer and Executive Vice President of Acquisitions of ACA. “Growing to over $170,000 in RMR primarily through referrals speaks to their excellent reputation. It was a pleasure working with them and their team through the due diligence process.”
Even more encouraging was the speed with which this transaction was completed, “It was a very smooth transaction start to finish. We were able to complete due diligence, contract negotiation and acquire the operation in just 35 business days,” said Ms. Bottos.
Robert Diederiks, President of SCAN, viewed the transaction with the same optimism as ACA, “I am excited for SCAN’s future as I believe our merger with ACA opens up a world of new and innovative options to our current and future customers.”
In addition to Anastasia Bottos, John Steffanato, Senior Executive Vice President, and Scott Peterson, Chief Financial Officer, of ACA also assisted with the acquisition. Barry Epstein of Vertex Capital represented SCAN during the transaction.
