Drummond to direct growth in the safety and security industry, as well as drive expansion into new markets

Houston, TX - December 10, 2013 - Behavioral Recognition Systems, Inc. (BRS Labs), creator of award-winning software that autonomously learns and alerts on unexpected behavior, today announced that Keith Drummond has been hired as the company's Executive Vice President of Sales. Mr. Drummond is a 20-year veteran of the technology industry, with a specific focus on growing sales revenue. Before joining BRS Labs, he served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) at Iron Sky, where he built the company into a leading provider of video surveillance software solutions for local law enforcement across the United States. Prior to that, he served as Chief Executive Officer of LenSec where he established the company as the largest provider of video surveillance solutions for the K12 Education market.

"BRS Labs is an exceptional company, and our AISight platform has become the de facto standard for real-time enhanced video surveillance," said Drummond. "I look forward to continuing our dominance in that area, as well as building the team that will help us grow into other multi-sensor applications, including SCADA, network security and other natural markets for our core technology."

BRS Labs' behavioral recognition technology operates seamlessly across multiple locations and scales to thousands of sensors, making it the only practical solution for large-scale safety and security deployments. It builds real-time alerts by teaching itself to recognize unexpected behaviors within data streams generated by video surveillance cameras and thousands of other sensors, such as chemical, pressure, and temperature. This self-learning, smarter approach helps users make better, faster safety and security decisions without overwhelming staff with large numbers of non-critical alerts.

BRS Labs maintains a dominant market position in the transit and critical infrastructure markets, and has previously announced active development of a behavioral analytic solution that enhances alarm management for SCADA systems. Upcoming multisensory capabilities will extend its reach into additional markets that can benefit from real time recognition of unexpected behaviors detected within both structured and unstructured sensor data.

"We're very excited to have someone of Keith's caliber on board with experience in both the safety and security industry, as well as the expertise to help us expand into these new markets," added Ray Davis, Chief Executive Officer of BRS Labs, "One of our goals from the outset was to deliver the benefits of our reason-based recognition and analytic capabilities to a broad range of solutions. That time is now, and Keith's team will be a central part of our ongoing success."
