New president to take the helm at Vivotek USA

Company announces that David Liu will succeed Harry Hu

Taipei, Taiwan – VIVOTEK today announced the appointment of David Liu (Yui-Juin Liu) as VIVOTEK USA’s president effective June 30, 2014. Harry Hu, the former President, stepped down for personal reasons and plans to return with his family to Taiwan.

“It has been an honor and pleasure to work with our management team and employees for the past 8 years.” said Harry Hu. “With a proven record of growing businesses and managing complex projects, David will lead VIVOTEK to the next level in our business. I’m confident that under his leadership, VIVOTEK will continue to expand its business and deliver tremendous value to our partners.”

In the search for a new President, the Executive Board of VIVOTEK sought a candidate who could build on VIVOTEK’s leading position in IP surveillance and continue to accelerate its fast-growing business.

“We had very specific criteria for our new President, and we were very strategic about finding the right person,” said Eddy Lan, VIVOTEK’s founder and Vice Chairman. “No one better understands the strength of VIVOTEK’s products and technology, which David clearly demonstrated during his role as the lead of R&D and Project Management. He also has a recognized ability to set strategy, lead large teams and drive growth and innovation at great scale.”

David Liu has a very outstanding academic background and specializes in Telecommunication Engineering. David Liu joined VIVOTEK in 2006 and has demonstrated his ability over a wide range of leadership positions in the company. He is extremely experienced in product customization, project consultancy, training, customer relationship. Since 2012, he has served as the lead of project management and has had key roles in winning large scale complex projects in global markets.
