Mr. Eklund was honored at the 2015 Person of the Year Dinner held on May 20th and received the prestigious Insp. Matthew J. Simeone Jr. Memorial Chapter Member of the Year Award in front of the top security professionals on the east coast. The Long Island Chapter of ASIS International has approximately 500 members and represents the entire spectrum of security professionals. The forum brings together local security professionals in corporate security and law enforcement to share experiences and industry best practices.
Mr. Eklund has been an instrumental part of the ASIS organization and has dedicated 10 years of service to the Long Island Chapter of ASIS and continues his commitment to the security sector by donating his time as an advisor to the board of directors of ASIS Long Island and to the Awards Committee for ASIS International. “I’m extremely honored to be a recipient of this prestigious award and collaborate with the top tier security professionals on Long Island,” said Mark Eklund, OffSite Vision’s President.
For over thirty years, Mr. Eklund has delivered solutions to clients by combining wireless connectivity with technologies for mobile communications and tracking of assets and personnel. He is highly knowledgeable in Machine-to-Machine (M2M) solutions, telemetry, and GPS technology, with extensive experience in management and product development for wireless data products. Throughout his career, Mr. Eklund held executive positions in wireless and communications companies and has recently started OffSite Vision Holdings, Inc. - a privately funded company that delivers real-time security solutions that integrates leading edge technologies to mitigate exposure during dynamic security events that require evacuation and emergency response.
