Partnerships and awards mark increasing momentum in security industry

SAN JOSE, Calif., March 22, 2017 -- Quantum Corp. (NYSE: QTM) will highlight its data management solutions at the ISC West 2017 Conference in Las Vegas, along with the latest additions to its extensive partner ecosystem. Powered by the company's award-winning StorNext® software, these multi-tier storage solutions provide a unique combination of high performance, low-cost capacity and data accessibility for video surveillance workflows. Three leading video analytics providers — BriefCam, Ipsotek and Intelligent Security Systems (ISS) — recently became Quantum Advantage Partners™ and will be available in Quantum's booth (#26117) to present how their advanced analytical tools integrate with StorNext-based solutions. In addition, Quantum will be competing in the Video Surveillance Data Storage category for both the Security Industry Association Best New Product award and Security Today Govies award.

Partnerships With Industry Front-Runners

In the year that has passed since the last ISC West Conference, Quantum has been recognized by partners for demonstrating technology innovation. Axis Communications, the market leader in network video, named Quantum 2016 Technology Partner of the Year at its 11th annual Axis Connect and Converge Conference. Industry-leading VMS vendor Milestone Systems also marked the successful collaboration with Quantum at this year's MIPS Americas Conference, honoring the company with its Technology Partner of the Year award for 2016 and naming Quantum Best Milestone Solution Partner for 2016 in the Asia Pacific region. These honors follow Milestone's custom development of a file-based plug-in for Milestone XProtect. The plug-in offloads archive data from the primary camera ingest network, allowing access to long-term retained data that has aged beyond primary storage capacity, and eliminating the performance impact on the VMS server from "grooming data" before archiving.

Continuing Growth for Quantum's Surveillance Partner Ecosystem

Quantum's booth will be a hub of partnership activity with industry leaders in VMS, camera and sensor technology, analytics and systems integration. Quantum Advantage program partners will present how their mission-critical surveillance and security offerings integrate with Quantum's multi-tier storage to address the challenges of managing, retaining and accessing surveillance data in a cost-effective way. Both Axis Communications and OnSSI will have Quantum kiosks in their booths and will also have experts presenting on their integration with Quantum storage offerings. In addition to BriefCam, Ipsotek and ISS, other partners scheduled to present in Quantum's booth include Aimetis, Arecont Vision, AxxonSoft and Milestone Systems.

"We are offering a fresh approach to address the video surveillance storage dilemma, and it is resonating with the industry's technology leaders. By bringing our heritage of intelligence and military technology to the commercial security industry, Quantum is being increasingly recognized not just for storage solutions but for technical innovation," said Wayne Arvidson, Vice President, Surveillance and Security Solutions, Quantum. "ISC West is the largest security industry trade show in the U.S., and Quantum has come a long way since our first year as a participant. It is very gratifying to have partners that are so committed to joining us in creating solutions that are keeping people and property safer."
