Uniflex 55 Series Electric Strikes

June 2, 2010

The UniFLEX 55 Series Heavy Duty Electric Strike from Security Door Controls (SDC) can be used to retrofit hollow metal frame standard ANSI 4-78" strike preps without relocation of the centerline.
The UniFLEX model 55-ABC is compatible with cylindrical locks, mortise locks (without deadbolts) and mortise exit devices. Six application faceplates provide different opening locations in order to eliminate the need for centerline relocation.
As an added feature, SDC supplies the deadbolt retainer standard with all UniFLEX 55-D, E and F application strikes. With the retainer installed, when the deadbolt is thrown, the electric strike will not release. In this configuration, the electric strike becomes inoperable. Retracting the deadbolt enables the electric strike to once again electronically control access. The deadbolt retainer may be removed to allow electrical release in an emergency.
The stainless steel and cast construction UniFLEX Electric Strikes will accommodate up to a ¾-inch latch and a 1-inch deadbolt. To ensure proper alignment, these electric strikes have 3/16-inch horizontal adjustment. To simplify installation, the strikes are non-handed, dual 12/24 voltage and are Field Reversible Failsafe/Failsecure. They are UL Listed for 3 hour fire rated, UL 1034 Burglary-Resistant and meet ANSI/BHMA A156.31 Grade 1.
All models are available with full monitoring, including choice of latchbolt, deadbolt and keeper closed and deadlocked status.
