ECKey has won best new wireless product at the ISC West 2010 New Product Showcase for its ECKey EK7 remote access product - following its win for best new access control product in 2009. Only a handful of companies have won new product awards in consecutive years, including General Electric and Pentax.
We have taken the best from SaaS cloud computing, customer electronics and the security industry to create a world-leading product and this is great recognition from our peers in the security industry.
The ECKey EK7 provides online security management for remote systems using the SMS, Bluetooth and Internet capabilities of today's phones. A user requests a Bluetooth PIN via SMS from the EK7 online security system. The Bluetooth PIN is always rolling and varies by the hour, day, week or month. If the user is authorized by the online access rights, an SMS with the current Bluetooth PIN is sent back to the phone. This PIN is used to do a Bluetooth pairing between the phone and the EK7 which then triggers the unlocking of doors, gates, garages and alarms systems.
All the SMS requests for access and access rights are stored online, providing online control for managing remote sites on the other side of the city, across the state or on the other side of the world.
