New release supports additional IP-Based Edge Devices

Ridgefield Park, NJ, February 7, 2012 -- DVTel, Inc., the IP video surveillance software technology pioneer, today announced availability of its latest version of Latitude NVMS V6.2. This release gives operators and administrators greater configuration flexibility, ease of access for casual users through Internet Explorer, and an industry-first mobile video application feature that turns your Android phone into an IP video surveillance camera.

Latitude 6.2 also features transcoder improvements for remote viewing (outputs of H.264, MPEG4 or MJPEG), integrates new DVTel EV series encoders with audio support, and offers additional 3rd party camera support (beyond the current 300+ models) from Axis , Arecont, Bosch, Panasonic, Pelco, Sony and Cisco to name a few.
