Company to highlight solution at ASIS

Ingersoll Rand's aptiQmobile web-based key management system will send access control credentials over the air to Near Field Communications (NFC)-enabled smartphones, allowing people to use their phones to enter buildings in place of their smart-card ID badges. Research shows that nearly two-thirds of college students are interested in using their mobile phones in place of their ID card and aptiQmobile brings the industry one step closer to that reality. Ingersoll Rand is currently conducting aptiQmobile pilot trials across the country to issue credentials over the air to phones and using those phones in day-to-day access control scenarios.
