Company’s MiniHub solution supports six cameras

Las Vegas – March 26, 2012 – MicroPower Technologies, Inc., an award-winning provider of surveillance solutions optimized for rapid, cost-effective deployment, will highlight its solar wireless surveillance solution at ISC West, March 28-30, 2012, at the Sands Convention Center in Las Vegas. Conference attendees are invited to view the most recent upgrades to the MicroPower surveillance portfolio at booth # 2133.

MicroPower will demonstrate its unique Rugged-i, a solar-powered, wireless surveillance camera that reduces power consumption by as much as 90 percent without compromising video quality or reliability, and the MiniHub, a wireless receiver video hub for use with the company’s line of surveillance cameras. The MiniHub now supports six cameras to further maximize system flexibility and cost efficiencies. The complete MicroPower surveillance system offers rapid setup and immediate network deployment to provide organizations with new security options that improve threat detection and crime prevention in outdoor and perimeter security applications.

In addition, MicroPower, in partnership with Technology Representatives Inc., has developed a video decoder solution, enabling connectivity of its popular wireless, solar solution to analog Digital Video Recorders (DVRs). The video decoder, ENC-D, converts MicroPower’s digital MJPEG stream into analog outputs whereby it can be connected directly to any DVR.

“Partners and customers alike should have access to solutions that are ideal for outdoor applications and meet budget requirements in order to optimize security investments,” said Jon Siann, Founder and CEO, MicroPower Technologies. “Our comprehensive world-class surveillance system solves the longstanding integration and reliability issues prevalent in traditional wireless video deployments. And with recent enhancements to the wireless video hub and the addition of the video decoder solution, we have improved the availability of the MicroPower solution to a wider customer base.”

MicroPower surveillance solutions dramatically improve the economics of system deployment through patented technology that delivers improvements in performance and power without compromising video quality and reliability. Proprietary wireless technologies enhance data transmission even in heavily congested environments. Devices can be deployed on-demand as no wiring or trenching is required, allowing immediate system scalability and a 90-percent reduction in installation time. This compelling value proposition allows users to realize significant savings in power and deployment.

“We were looking for an outdoor, wireless surveillance solution that could operate in low light conditions and offer license plate identification. Trenching was an alternative, but the cost to do this would be extreme,” said John Forsythe, President, Texas Electronic Systems Specialists Inc. “After searching, we came across MicroPower and found its system to be the ideal choice for this application. Since joining forces with the company, we’ve found MicroPower not only strives to meet our customer’s needs but they have gone the extra mile to develop a strong partnership with us.”
