Carmel, Indiana – Designed to provide wireless communication from a Loading Dock or Receiving Door, the DoorCom wireless intercom can dramatically improve efficiency and security at virtually any facility. This proven system installs easily at any entry point to permit visitors to announce their arrival. The long-range performance allows radio-equipped personnel to receive a call from practically anywhere in the building and instantly answer back using a portable 2-way radio or desk-top base station. DoorCom is ideal for installation at delivery/receiving door, employee entrance, entrance or lobby, will-call/pick-up, loading dock, factory floor, and more. The wide range of facilities which can benefit from this unique technology, include Manufacturing plants of all kinds, Warehouses/distribution centers, Schools, Hospitals, Retailers, and more.

DoorCom helps to increase efficiency and maintain security by allowing exterior doors to remain locked. Workers can stay focused and productive until they receive an intercom call with a unique call-tone. Wasted time is reduced and deliveries and pick-ups are handled more quickly.

This innovative 2-part system features a rugged, all metal speaker intercom box which is mounted on the outside of the facility, and an R-series transceiver mounted inside the facility – safe from the weather and vandals. The radio transceiver, which provides optimal radio signal coverage to radio-equipped personnel, has a range of approximately 350,000 square feet (actual range depends on building structure and topography).

Designed and built in the USA, DoorCom is compatible with any other business band 2-way radio operating on the same frequency. The system is available in the popular VHF and UHF licensed-business frequency bands and a VHF MURS License-Free model is also available. Ritron offers a variety of compatible portable 2-way radios and desk-top base station radios.
