Sept. 6, 2012
New capabilities expand software’s performance and efficiency

OTTAWA, ONTARIO, Sept 6, 2012 –– March Networks, a global provider of intelligent IP video solutions, is pleased to announce the newest products in its comprehensive video surveillance portfolio. With the introduction of Command Release 1.4 video management system (VMS) software and new high-definition (HD) PTZ 1080p cameras, March Networks customers benefit from even more robust and user-friendly solutions for advanced video management, monitoring and investigation.

The latest release of March Networks Command delivers new capabilities and enhancements that expand the software’s performance, efficiency and user-focused design. Its web-based alarm monitoring and management provides flexible alarm control, real-time alerting with handling and acknowledgment procedures, and one-click access to associated camera views and alarm playback. New text overlay functionality allows users to configure, view and export superimposed retail point-of-sale, license plate or other text data onto associated video. The feature speeds investigations and improves overall operational awareness.

Following new certifications with Bosch, Panasonic, Infinova N Series and Siqura IP cameras, March Networks Command now integrates with more than 400 third-party devices, leaving customers free to choose the best option for their surveillance environment. It is one of the only VMS solutions to offer complete system configuration and administration capabilities – in addition to live and archived video access – via its web-based client interface. Combined with a recently launched March Networks Cloud offering, Command customers also enjoy mobile access to live video using their iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android or Windows Mobile device.

“This latest release of our Command software further addresses the requirements of different users groups within enterprise organizations, and allows us to compete even more aggressively in the IP video market,” said Net Payne, Chief Marketing Officer, March Networks. “Starting with this powerful, web-based VMS platform, we are uniquely able to offer a complete range of IP products and intelligent software applications that deliver optimum performance together or as part of customers’ existing surveillance solutions.”

As a result of the company’s recent acquisition by New Jersey-based Infinova (learn more), March Networks is also pleased to introduce new Infinova 2MP PTZ Domes and a 2MP Integrated High-Speed PTZ Camera System to its HD IP cameras portfolio. Combining 20x optical zoom and 1080p resolution – as well as Wide Dynamic Range and True Day/Night – the cameras deliver exceptional image quality and detail in all lighting environments. Built for high-performance in extreme temperatures, they are IP66 rated from -40° to 122° for the dome and up to 140°F with the integrated system, which also incorporates a built-in window wiper that can be controlled remotely for easy installation and service.

In addition, the 2MP integrated camera system boasts an impressive tilt range of +40° to ensure an unimpeded above-the-horizon view critical for highways, parking areas and other applications where a complete view of the surroundings is required.

Rounding out the company’s newest offerings is the March Networks 2316 Encoder. A complement to the 4332 C and 4324 C hybrid recorders, the device is a cost-effective solution for customers seeking to address analog to IP migration in high density installations.

March Networks will demonstrate its award-winning Command software, IP cameras portfolio, and complete solutions for financial, retail and commercial/industrial organizations in Booth 3539 at the ASIS International 58th Annual Seminar and Exhibits, September 10-12 in Philadelphia, PA.
