Detector designed for applications where the need to distinguish between smoke and CO events is imperative

Gentex Corporation (GNTX), has released a new combination photoelectric smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm designed with two (2) sets of Form A/Form C relay contacts that activate independently for smoke and CO events. The GN-503FF is primarily used for applications where the need to distinguish between smoke and CO events is imperative. The new GN-503FF utilizes both photoelectric and electrochemical sensing technology to deliver reliable performance wherever smoke and CO detection is required.

The GN-503FF is a 120VAC hardwired alarm with 9VDC alkaline battery back-up in the event building power is lost. The GN-503 Series includes a battery drawer on the side of the unit to allow for simple battery replacement without removing the unit from the wall or ceiling.

In addition to its smoke and CO sensing technology, the GN-503FF includes tandem interconnect capabilities, a differentiating signal for each alarm type annunciation, quick disconnect wire harness, low or missing battery indicator, and push button self test and functionality test. These capabilities and features make it practical to add smoke and CO detection to any compatible Gentex alarm installation.
