ELSAG Fixed and Mobile Automatic License Plate Readers

ELSAG North America, manufacturer of the highly advanced Mobile Plate Hunter-900(R) (MPH-900(R)) and Fixed Plate Hunter-900(R) (FPH-900(R)) automatic license plate recognition (ALPR) systems, will exhibit industry-leading advancements to its technology at the International Security Conference West (ISC West) in Las Vegas, April 9 - 13, Booth #23073.

In partnership with OnSSI, a security and surveillance solutions leader and ConvergenceTP, a leader in IP appliance connectivity to video management systems, ELSAG recently integrated its ALPR systems with Ocularis, a comprehensive video management system that combines powerful network video recorders (NVRs) with physical security information management (PSIM) functionality. The new unified technology, the ELSAG PSIM Module, is a more efficient, more intelligent means of collecting and analyzing data for the purpose of managing processes and resolving adverse situations.

The integration offers a superior solution to a wider range of users and security applications. Users can now view real-time video data as recorded by the Ocularis IP surveillance cameras, including license plates and overview images. A powerful search engine allows for text queries of specific plate numbers or vehicle descriptors. Query results can be exported to other tools for report generation or analysis, such as identifying vehicle patterns.

"The result of this integration provides users with a combined solution that is greater than simply the sum of its parts. The constructive impact of automatic license plate recognition technology on security operations will be further increased through this collaboration," said Nate Maloney, Vice President of Marketing for ELSAG. "It's a strategic combination that also reinforces our ability to deliver valuable solutions to our customers."
