The EL1551U is another component of the NITEK cutting edge EtherStretch™ line. The EL1551U solution allows for the utilization of existing 2-wire UTP cable infrastructure to transmit data from IP cameras and other network devices for distances up to 500 meters or 1600 feet. The EL1551U includes transmitter and receiver units that require very little installation time and absolutely no set up or configuration. Completely transparent to the network the EL1551U requires no IP or MAC addressing.
NITEK EtherStretch EL1551U extends network communications to overcome cable distance limitations to devices in locations traditional networking does not allow. The EL1551U is ideal for retrofitting existing installations. The units are constructed of industrial grade RoHS compliant plated aluminum with a corrosion resistant finish making them very durable. Applications for the EL1551U include replacing UTP video baluns that traditionally transmitted over a single pair of category cables, installing VoIP Intercoms and emergency call stations that previously used paired cabling and elevator traveling cables to install network devices.
