Paxton software releases Net2 version 4.28

July 8, 2013
Solution, with ievo fingerprint reader technology embedded into Net2 software, saves the installer time when creating and removing users from the system

With the Paxton software release of Net2 version 4.28, interface with ievo® goes one step further than integration and is the only biometric completely embedded, enhancing usability and efficiency. IFSEC 2013 saw both UK and international security professionals looking for demonstrations of the new unrivalled Paxton interface, available only to ievo® users.
In addition to this, with a recent terrorist crisis in the UK, the spotlight was drawn towards counter terror measures at the show. As the ievo ultimate™ fingerprint reader was recently approved for UK Government use (please see Centre for the Protection of National Infrastructure (CPNI) for further information) this attracted even more interested clients to the stand looking to see the reader in action.
With ievo® completely embedded into Paxton’s market leading Net2 software, the process for adding and controlling users couldn’t be simpler which has been built upon standard integration. The administration system does not change, meaning the transition between the ievo® biometric reader and Paxton software is simple and seamless. This dramatically saves the installer time when creating new users and removing users from the system, as well as reducing end user training time.
This newly simple process not only allows for ease of use, but could reduce disruption on site. There is no need to change databases or information, and adding user’s fingerprints completes the transition. This provides extra peace of mind that the end user environment will be running as usual in a short space of time.
Also attracting major attention at IFSEC 2013, the CPNI issued the ievo ultimate™ biometric reader with a special undisclosed rating which informs government clientele that it has been approved to use. Having been trusted with the official certificate, ievo ultimate™ once again created a buzz at IFSEC with enquires being made towards the application and specifications of the product and its world class credibility features.
Speaking at the show, ievo® Managing Director Shaun Oakes commented, “We have been very busy at the stand this year, with more and more people flocking to see the impressive integration with Paxton and the newly certified ultimate™ biometric reader. This has really helped us separate ourselves from competitors in the industry. We are now the only biometric to be fully integrated into Paxton increasing efficiency and usability, coupled with the CPNI accreditation we are continually ahead of our competitors. Security installers are now rest assured that ievo® is industry leaders in integration and credibility.”
Speaking of the integration, Gareth O’Hara, Sales and Marketing Director for Paxton said, “The combination of the ievo® biometrics solution and Paxton’s Net2 software user interface is a great advantage for our customers. Net2 software has always been focused on its ease of use, and this integration solution allows any level of user the ability to enrol fingerprints as simply as they previously enrolled proximity tokens.”

Paxton CEO Adam Stroud also recently commented on the integration as, “At Paxton, we clearly recognised the opportunity presented by integrating our market leading Net2 system with ievo® biometric solutions. Ultimately a better, easier to manage system for the customer.”
