SlimLane Optical Turnstile

Automatic Systems Announces new Shorter SlimLane Footprint

Brossard, Quebec – February 10, 2014– Automatic Systems is proud to announce the new short footprint version of SlimLane - the world’s leading swinging glass door optical turnstile.

SlimLane swing door security entrance lanes combine high speed bidirectional throughput with the highest reliability, security, and footprint variations of any barrier type optical turnstile. Today’s announcement enhances that list of features significantly.

Available in narrow or wide lane versions and single or double swing doors in 24 or 120 volt power configuration, SlimLane is already widely known as the most versatile swinging glass turnstile. SlimLane offers IP connectivity – and was the first security entrance control lane to boast this feature. SlimLane is UL 2593 listed to help satisfy the most stringent of building and safety codes. The standard and unique “SecuriSafe” mode prevents forced entry attempts while still allowing emergency egress at any time, and SlimLane is the only lane of its kind to offer such a feature.

This new announcement for SlimLane officially launches the 48” cabinet length (existing standard length is 62”). Both product lengths are available with either low glass height (35”), medium (47”), or high (67”) glass versions. The shorter cabinet length allows for easier implementation into most elevator bank openings, as well as to more readily adapt to strict architectural demands in many front lobbies.

Automatic Systems (a.k.a. Automatic Control Systems) is a leading manufacturer of pedestrian and vehicle entrance control equipment, with North American headquarters/manufacturing in Brossard, Quebec, Canada.
