iBridge Messenger is a complementary iBridge Connected Home notification service for new and retrofit Napco Gemini Systems accounts, who want to stay connected and in control of their alarm, video, temperature, lighting & locking, via their phones with text messages and video alerts. Broadband-, event-based SMS/MMS iBridge Messenger affordably adds live VGA-quality, pre- & post-event video alerts to text messages and reminder notifications, so consumers see the event unfold, with returning kids, deliveries, pets, etc.
This new service offering to iBridge Connected Home for use on new and retrofit Gemini Alarm Systems, gives dealers new SMS/MMS messaging and event-triggered alert and live video alert notifications capability to offer accounts who want to remain connected and in control of their fully connected home – their premises’ alarm, video, temperature, lighting & locking, when they can't be there. Users can select which events they want to trigger notifications and to whom they should be sent, by zone, time, user, alarm, event, grouped events, and more, with the full information provided on the system bus, but in easily understood terms and phraseology. Examples are unlocking the system, arming the alarm, gun cabinet or liquor cabinet opened, latchkey kid returns home.
iBridge Messenger uniquely and very affordably provides dealers’ accounts live video alert notifications (SMS and MMS), because unlike competitive systems, it is broadband-based, not cellular/GSM, and it provides VGA-quality video of the premises in 20FPS clips (and recordings), pre- and post- the triggering event or alarm, from its server. Napco began in remote services a decade ago with its iSeeVideo remote video product and this offering captures that technology and integrates it within iBridge. Live embedded Video Clip/ Video Alerts are sent to the accounts' phones (MMS) along with a video alert text message (SMS), example pool alarm alert would be followed by pre- and post-event live video, for example if the pool gate were opened. iBridge Messenger users could get a Pool Gate Open Alert SMS text message, followed by live video alert, where they see their selected triggered events unfold as they happen without bothering to login elsewhere. Competitive offerings only send links to login or “snap-shots” at the exact time the zone was opened, which is only a fraction of the real message or picture of what’s happening.
