Dallas, TX – June 25, 2014 – Para Systems Inc. today announced the latest addition to its line of power protection products, the all-new EnTerra Series of 3-phase UPSs. Designed to protect equipment in the IT/networking, industrial, medical, and enterprise security sectors from all types of power problems, the EnTerra series is available for 50 or 60Hz applications ranging from 10kVA to 40kVA. Parallel options up to 160kVA are also available. The line provides a host of standard features including on-site startup, SNMP communications card, and a full 2-year warranty, along with up to 94% system efficiency and simplified sales and ordering processes.
The Minuteman EnTerra series 3-phase uninterruptible power supply (UPS) utilizes double conversion technology and Adaptive Feed Cancellation (AFC) to effectively protect large electrical loads. The combination of centralized backup, high input and output power factors (0.99 and 0.9 respectively), and up to 94% system efficiency ratings mean EnTerra offers a substantial reduction in operating costs versus multiple single phase UPSs. Users can also reduce electrical consumption and operating costs when upgrading from older, less efficient 3-phase systems.
A substantial set of standard features set the EnTerra series apart from competitive options. All units include on-site startup by a trained electrician, internal bypass hardware, an SNMP communications card, and a 2-year warranty which includes 1 year of full battery coverage along with 10 years of prorated coverage. EnTerra users will also benefit from a total harmonic distortion of less than 1%, user-friendly voltage configuration changes on the front panel control screen, soft start walk-in that provides added safety during power transition, and a host of other features.
Versatility is key with any power protection solution, and EnTerra is available in 10, 15, 20, 30, and 40kVA configurations, with multiple battery and runtime configurations available for each capacity level. EnTerra is also easily expandable for capacity or N+1 redundancy, providing support for capacities up to 160kVA. In addition, units can be ordered as a power conditioner or frequency converter which can be upgraded to a UPS by adding batteries in the future.
“EnTerra will allow us to build on our past partnerships in the 3-phase arena and reach the market more competitively than ever before,” stated Bill Allen, Director of Marketing for Minuteman. “With Minuteman value, 3-phase efficiency, and our extensive channel network, EnTerra’s versatility and expandability are ideal for today’s business environment.”
EnTerra 10-40kVA 3-phase UPSs represent an ideal solution for small to large data center installations, industrial and laboratory applications, enterprise-wide network and security systems, and any other areas where 3-phase power is available and critical equipment requires efficient backup.
Bill Allen remarked on the EnTerra’s place in the Minuteman product line, “the EnTerra line allows Minuteman to better offer complete solutions to our customers; from 400VA to 160kVA, with Minuteman value and reliability the whole way.”
The EnTerra line is available now in the U.S. through Minuteman’s nationwide network of distributors and resellers, as well as authorized distributors in Canada, and Central/South America.
