New IK-WR31A features bandwidth-efficient H.264 Smart Codec and 90° rotating Hallway View for monitoring long, narrow spaces

IRVINE, CA, April 1, 2015 -- Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products, a business unit of Toshiba America Information Systems, Inc.,is showcasing the newest additions to its IP camera portfolio at ISC West, April 15-17, in Las Vegas, Nev., inside the Sands Hotel Veronese Room #2405.

Toshiba IP network technology makes it easy for business owners to capture, view and analyze video surveillance images, delivering advanced yet cost-effective video surveillance and improved safety for employees, customers and property.

At the forefront of Toshiba's ISC West introductions are the IK-WR31A and IK-WD31A IP dome cameras. Both provide crystal-clear 3MP resolution video enhanced by built-in adaptive IR LEDs, H.264 Smart Codec video compression, and a Hallway View™ feature that rotates the camera's standard view 90° to portrait orientation for the effective monitoring of long, narrow spaces such as alleys, warehouse and grocery aisles, or school hallways. In addition, the IK-WR31A is ruggedized for outdoor deployment with an IP66 rating, and for vandal prone areas with an IK10 rating. The IK-WD31A is for indoor use only.

Also on display in Room 2405 will be the IKS-WP806 IP PTZ indoor dome and the IKS-WP816R outdoor PTZ dome. The cameras bring the powerful benefit of 18x optical zoom to a variety of surveillance applications, along with time-saving Pattern Tour to better utilize the PTZ feature. Like the IK-WR31A, the IKS-WP816R is IP66 rating plus has an integrated heater and fan for more demanding outdoor environments.

As proof that big news comes in small packages, Toshiba will be launching at ISC West its smallest IP camera to date, the new IKS-WD6112 low-profile IP dome. Measuring only 1.75" high and 4.6" in diameter, it offers simplified installation and mounting along with 1080p HD video capture and Digital Wide Dynamic Range for challenging lighting conditions.

All four new cameras are ONVIF compliant for seamless integration with Toshiba and other ONVIF compliant recording solutions.
