Residential permit fees have increased from $10 to $20; for business that increase was from $25 to $50.

False alarm fees for Nashville also were increased, rising from $50 to $75 (three false alarms are allowed before fines start).

The permit registration fee had not increased in 18 years according to a city clerk quoted on a local TV station.
