SAN DIEGO UNION-TRIBUNE--Blackwater Wordwide, a private security company headquarted in N.C., plans to open a new training facility near San Diego, reports the San Diego Union-Tribune.
The 61,000-square ft indoor training facility for law enforcement and military personnel is planned for Otay Mesa, Calif.
Blackwater halted plans on March 7 to build an alternate training facility on an 824-acre site in Potrero, Calif., because gunfire tests showed the noise level exceeded county standards.
