SANFORD — A state report shows that a central Florida hospital where a woman abducted a one-day-old baby has improved security.

The Agency for Health Care Administration released the report Friday, saying Central Florida Regional Hospital had corrected all the problems it had been cited for. Among the changes, all visitors to the maternity ward must have a hospital-issued photo badge.

Authorities say 39-year-old Jennifer Latham abducted a one day-old boy from the maternity ward on March 28 after posing as a hospital employee. The baby was later found in Latham’s car unharmed.

Latham is awaiting trial on kidnapping charges.

The hospital may still be fined.
