Police in Virginia Beach, Virginia, announced this week that they will be holding a public information meeting next month to explain to residents the details of two new city alarm codes.

According to published reports, the new codes require alarm owners to register their systems with the city and impose a $150 fee if police have to respond to more than two false alarms at one location.

For more information about the new codes, visit the city’s Web site at www.vbgov.com/falsealarms.
