Philadelphia raises annual alarm registration fees

City also reduces number of false alarms allowed

Residents and business owners in Philadelphia, Penn., can expect to pay more in annual alarm system registration fees in 2009.

According to published reports, the city is raising the fee from $35 to $50. In addition, the city is also dropping the number of false alarms allowed from three to two.
