California-based Universal Surveillance Systems announced Thursday that it has formed LP4LP, a new loss prevention services division.

According to a statement issued by the company, the new division was founded by loss prevention executives and will offer a variety of services to retailers such as operational audits, investigations and risk management assessments.

Among some of the industry professionals who have signed onto the venture include John Gantenbein, former vice president of loss prevention for Macy’s West, and Rod Hold, former vice president of loss prevention at Limited Brands.

The official launch of the new division is scheduled to take place next week at the 2009 National Retail Federation Loss Prevention Conference and Expo.
