Redmond, Wash. – Nov.5, 2019 – Aiphone Corp., the leading international manufacturer of intercom and security communication products, now has a mobile app available to new and existing installations of the popular GT Series multi-tenant video intercom. The convenient app will enable users to screen visitors directly from a smartphone, whether at home or away.
The app, which requires the new GT-TLI-IP mobile app network adaptor, allows tenants to use smartphones to answer calls and unlock doors; view video and conduct two-way conversations in Wi-Fi, 3G or 4G communications; and control two automations such as gates and lights.
Paul Hefty, senior engineer II, Aiphone, said the adaptor provides a new source of revenue for dealers and integrators selling and installing the GT Series systems.
“People today expect to control their various systems using their smartphones,” he said. “The GT-TLI-IP adaptor can be installed into new applications or by simply revisiting existing GT Series customers to upgrade them with mobile app capability.”
Activating the app is simple, requiring only a scan of a QR code linked to the installed adaptor.
The GT Series provides integrators a way to remotely update tenant directories using a logical network or onsite using an NFC-equipped Android phone or tablet. The system can be expanded to support up to 480 entrance stations, 96 video guard stations and 5,000 tenant stations, making it an ideal solution for high-rise office towers, apartment and condominium buildings, independent senior living facilities, and student housing.
GT Series intercoms integrate with security cameras to provide a wider view of entry area on either 3 ½- or 7-inch slim-profile tenant stations. Optional card readers or keypads enable keyless tenant entry.
