Kaba appoints Robert Krause VP of business development for Asia-Pacific

Krause to help increase market for ILCO, SAFLOK brands in region

Montreal, Quebec, Canada – February 18, 2009 – Electronic hotel lock manufacturer Kaba Lodging Systems has appointed Robert Krause to the position of Vice-President of Business Development for the Asia Pacific region. Krause will be responsible for continuing the successful market penetration of both the ILCO and SAFLOK brands in region’s hospitality segments.

In this new role, Krause will establish and maintain solid relationships with key hotel brands and chains from the luxury/resort, mid-tier, and economy/limited-service lodging segments. His duties as vice-president will also include managing and supporting the already existing network of electronic locking partners/distributors in the area. Krause will continue to develop and maintain a strong channel of communication with architects, designers, franchisors, and developers from the various hotel markets.

Assuming this role is a natural progression for Krause in his career with Kaba Ilco Inc. He served as an Kaba distributor in Hawaii for several years. "He is well-suited for this position because his years of experience in the hospitality industry. This will enable him to be sensitive to the unique requirements of the market, its customers, and needs of Kaba distributors," concludes Lefebvre.
