Companies provide installation of custom, architectural stanchions necessary for grand opening of luxury California high-rise apartment complex

Lindon, UT | August 6, 2020: Pedestal PRO, the world’s leading manufacturer for access control pedestals, in partnership with Convergint Technologies, a $1 billion global, industry-leading systems integrator, has released a case study highlighting the emergency design, manufacturing, delivery and installation of custom, architectural stanchions necessary for the recent grand-opening of a luxury high-rise California apartment complex amidst the COVID-19 shut-down. From the time Convergint placed its orders, Pedestal PRO designed and manufactured several custom stainless-steel towers to house Lenel OnGuard readers and 2N IP Intercom stations and had them delivered on site in less than a week, making it possible to meet a June 1 move-in date for tenants. This was accomplished despite the need for social distancing and other safety precautions in place at Pedestal PRO’s manufacturing facility that significantly altered the company’s standard in-house operations. The case study highlights the key role that cooperative vendor relationships play in enabling award-winning systems integrators, like Convergint Technologies, to consistently deliver top-tier customer service under the most challenging conditions – in this case, with the help of equally committed manufacturing and service partner, Pedestal PRO.

The project under scrutiny, spearheaded by Convergint’s Pleasanton, CA office, involved new construction of an architecturally magnificent apartment building housing over 200 luxury units, with underground parking and retail on the ground floor. As installation of the building’s security systems approached its final phases, a series of snafus could have caused missed deadlines and reduced margins, but with the help of Pedestal PRO, the issues were quickly resolved with virtually no repercussions.

“Convergint was the face of this project, so it was really important to us to do everything we could to back up their reputation,” says Pike Goss, CEO of Pedestal PRO. “We deeply appreciate our long-standing partnership with Convergint, which has been instrumental in solidifying Pedestal PRO’s visibility and reputation within the security market as the go-to resource for custom pedestal solutions.”

Tony Varco, Vice President of Security & Marketing for Convergint Technologies, states “Convergint has differentiated itself by building a service-centric culture with colleagues who care. Pedestal PRO shares in our deep dedication to service excellence, and our partnership has been natural because of that.”
