New City, NY – August 1, 2013 -- In healthcare facilities, family members of patients and other visitors need to have IDs that are easy-to-issue as well as easy-to-wear in order to insure control & visibility. Badgetec’s new clip-on Visitor tags (badges) are available with security features, and they use a new low-cost plastic clip so they can be worn high on the visitor’s garments without fear of adhesive or pin damage.
These new Visitor badges are available in both large and small sizes, rectangular and round for easy recognition. Each Visitor badge has a slot pre-punched at the top for attaching the plastic clip which slides over the edge of the garment (collar, lapel, neckline, pocket) like a “paperclip”. The badges are provided as diecut sheets of printable cardstock. Once printed and issued, they are worn on the garment with the Contour Clip® or with any standard lanyard. Badges can be printed with barcodes and QR Codes, along with room designation and dates.
Because there is no adhesive, these Visitor badges can be preprinted with information and emergency information on the back to insure that visitors know what to do in case of an emergency. The new clip-on Visitor badges are inexpensive like adhesive stickers. Without adhesive, the clip-on visitor badges eliminate the issues with adhesive badges falling off, sticking to the floor or annoying litter problem. By using diecut sheets without the need for plastic holders, the badges are more eco-friendly and substantially lower-cost. They are also lighter-in-weight, easier-to-read and the clip slides on by tactile-feel alone.
Standard 8.5x11” diecut sheets have slots punched at the top of each tag (round, rectangular or other shapes) for attaching the clip. In addition, these standard size sheets can be printed using Microsoft Word (AVERY®) templates on office laser/inkjet printers. One then simply separates the badges from the sheet and issues them.
