AES-7770 FireTap is UL 864 Edition 9 listed and NFPA compliant

Peabody, MA February 12, 2008 - AES-IntelliNet is pleased to announce the introduction of its UL864 Edition 9 listed Full Data Module, the AES-7770 FireTap which mounts inside their new AES-7744/7788 UL Listed Fire Subscribers. The FireTap links a Fire Alarm Control Panel (FACP) with a central monitoring station through an AES-IntelliNet radio network, without phones lines. Full data from the FACP is reported in Contact ID format to the central station and forwarded to the Automation Software, including account number, point or zone and event or detector type. The AES-7770 FireTap interfaces via RS232 to the FACP using the printer port and can monitor any serial data source. That data is then forwarded to the central station via the AES-IntelliNet wireless network.

According to Tom Kenty, General Manager of AES-IntelliNet, "In addition to being designed to meet the UL 864 Edition 9 listing standards, the AES-7770 FireTap is a Full Data Module that works through a serial port in conjunction with our AES-7744/7788 fire radios. It supports a broad range of fire panels and mounts inside AES RF Transceiver Unit with no other power source needed. This product was designed in response to the needs of our customers, their market requirements and according to the highest UL standards."

The AES-IntelliNet's alarm system is a self healing, long range wireless mesh radio communication network and works in conjunction with the Internet to provide customers the ability to monitor alarms in multiple regions from one location, without recurring monthly communications costs or infrastructure fees typically associated with remote monitoring. The AES-IntelliNet mesh network also offers a more reliable, faster means of communicating alarm signals to central monitoring stations without relying on telephone lines or cellular services that are vulnerable to line cuts, weather conditions, radio jamming, and recurring monthly costs.
