Calipsa announces new business development leaders for its Americas operation

Tara Biglari promoted to regional sales director, Francisco Espinosa and Andrew Gyimesi named business development managers

Ashburn, Va. – May 18, 2021 – Calipsa, a market-leading provider of deep-learning powered video analytics for false alarm reduction, announced the promotion of a regional sales director and the appointment of two business development managers as the company continues its expansion in the Americas.

Tara Biglari was promoted to regional sales director, Americas. She joined Calipsa in 2017 as a sales associate in the United Kingdom. Since 2020, she has focused solely on business development in the Americas, forming relationships with leading Latin American industry representative companies enabling Calipsa to expand its client base. Biglari, a Maryland native, received a master’s degree in international relations from the University of Edinburgh.

Francisco Espinosa is a new Calipsa business development manager. Previously, as director of monitoring operations, he oversaw a team of 140 people monitoring more than 300 customer sites for Totem, Ecuador’s largest video monitoring center and a Calipsa client. Espinosa also held several financial executive positions with Ecuadorian companies. His Calipsa territories include Latin American countries.

Andrew Gyimesi is Calipsa’s new business development manager with responsibility for North America. Previously, Gyimesi was a senior sales development representative for memoryBlue, a Virginia-based sales development consulting firm helping a wide range of high-tech clients accelerate new business growth.
