Camden Door Controls Expands Door Security Lineup With Two Battery-Powered Alarm Systems

Camden Door Controls has introduced two new battery-powered door alarm systems designed to provide audible and visual alerts for unauthorized door activity and extended door openings.

The new products include the CX-DA800 Series Exit Alarms and the CX-DA810 Series Door Prop Alarms. According to Camden, the CX-DA800 Series is designed to provide immediate audible and visual notification of unauthorized exit or entry through mechanically secured doors. The CX-DA810 Series is intended to alert users when a mechanically secured door remains open beyond a specified period of time.

"Camden’s CX-DA800 Series Exit Alarms provide an instant audible and visual alarm indication of unauthorized exit or entry of mechanically secured doors," said Dave Malen, Camden President. "The Camden CX-DA810 Series Door Prop Alarms provide an audible and visual alarm indication of mechanically secured doors being held open for more than a specified time."

Camden said the all-in-one universal alarm systems are compatible with a wide range of industry-standard mortise cylinders and cams. Both alarm series are available in grey or black finishes and can be ordered in indoor or weatherized outdoor models. Each unit includes a mortise cylinder with two keys, available either keyed alike or keyed different.

The alarms are designed as compact units that require no external wiring. They can be mounted on either a door or frame and include a magnetic door contact. Installation is supported on both in-swinging and out-swinging doors.

Additional features include enhanced security functions with immediate triggering, LED indicators and buzzer sounds. The systems deliver a 105 dB alarm and operate on a 9 VDC battery. A low-battery alert is included to notify users when battery replacement is needed.

Camden also includes a mortise cylinder and cylinder installation tool with the alarms. The products are UL Listed.
