SI International, Inc., an information technology and network solutions (IT) company, today announced that the Air Force Research Laboratory/Information Directorate (AFRL/IF) in Rome, NY has awarded its Complex Adaptive Signals and Systems (CASS) contract to SI International. Under the prime contract, SI International will provide scientific, engineering, and administrative services to AFRL's Multi-Sensor Exploitation Branch. The contract is valued at approximately $3.8 million over a 3 year period.
The Multi-Sensor Exploitation Branch's mission is to conduct research and development in the collection, processing, and dissemination of information intelligence. The increasing complexity of computer network and electronic signals requires new approaches to support the collection and processing of intelligence information. SI International's team of engineers will apply new developments in the fields of complexity and information theory to improve signal processing techniques. Research Associates of Syracuse, Inc., an SI International subcontractor, will provide expertise in detection of electronic intelligence signals.
