Autonomy Hosts Regional Partners at Latin American Partner Summit

Aug. 28, 2007

CAMBRIDGE, England and SAN FRANCISCO , California, August 28 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Autonomy Corporation plc (LSE: AU. or AU.L), a global leader in infrastructure software for the enterprise, today announced continued market momentum behind the company's Meaning-Based Computing technologies as more than 40 representatives from its Latin American resellers and Systems Integrators gathered last week in Mexico to attend Autonomy's Latin American Partner Summit.

Keynoting the session, Stouffer Egan, CEO of Autonomy Inc, highlighted analyst research that has shown an explosion of unstructured information within the enterprise with more than 80 per cent of all data in the form of email, IM, Word and XML documents, video, audio, as well as the range of evolving interactive information formats such as wikis and blogs. As a result of this shift in data types, global companies are quickly recognizing the strategic necessity of managing all this information. Egan outlined the company's vision for Meaning-Based Computing and articulated the need for a fundamentally different approach to information infrastructure software that helps organizations derive greater meaning and value from all of their information.

"Companies around the world recognize the strategic importance of information stored in different IT systems," explained Egan. "It is essential to monetize and maximize that information for competitive differentiation and new revenue streams as well as to mitigate the risks associated with those same information assets, including loss, theft, and issues related to litigation and regulatory compliance."

As Egan highlighted the importance and long term commitment to the region, he announced and welcomed Daniel Trejo , the new Director of Latin America, and fellow team mates who have joined Autonomy from the Norwegian company, FAST Search and Transfer. These individuals will add diverse expertise to the already strong Autonomy presence in Latin America, enhancing a dynamic professional team to serve the rapidly growing territory and to lead the expansion of new local offices in Mexico City , Brazil and Columbia.

"We made the decision to join Autonomy in the wake of FAST's announced financial instability and cutbacks in service and research and development," said Daniel Trejo , director of Latin America. "We can now confidently offer customers Autonomy's superior innovative solutions, local service and support backed by the strength and security that Autonomy has to offer."

During the course of the two days, partners gained a clear understanding of Autonomy's Meaning-based Computing technologies and solutions that span across a range of areas including: Enterprise Search, Knowledge Management (KM), e-learning, Proactive Information Risk Management, Consolidated Archiving, Business Intelligence (BI), Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Call Center solutions, Rich Media Management, Intelligent Document Processing and Security and Surveillance.

Egan closed the event noting Autonomy's recently announced 30th consecutive quarter of profitability, the highest second quarter and half-year revenues and profits in an 11-year history. Autonomy's rapid and persistent growth -- and its unrivalled financial performance -- continues to position the company as the technology vendor and partner of choice in the market.

"We are greatly impressed with the depth and breadth of Autonomy's market-leading technologies as well as the stability and security Autonomy enables us to provide our customers" said Javier L'Eglise, managing director, ISCOM. "We look forward to further strengthening our partnership and our involvement as this market leading approach to processing information reaches mainstream adoption."
