In this episode of SecurityInfoWatch.com, SIW Radio host Geoff Kohl interviews Michael DeLuca, market segment manager of image sensor solutions at Eastman Kodak, to discuss the company's new pattern for deploying both color and panchromatic pixels on an image sensor. The result of the new pattern, says DeLuca, is that the sensors are better in low-light situations, and can help freeze the image better to reduce motion blurs, and will cut out some of the "noise" that tends to appear when digital images are taken in low-light situations. Do these sound like benefits that could help solve some of your low-light problems with security cameras providing poor image quality? We also touch upon the differences in resolution between monochromatic (black and white) images and color images.
