HARRISON, Maine -- Strategy X, Inc., homeland security specialists, is pleased to announce expansion into the $6.8 Billion arena of Civil Homeland Security for local communities, municipalities and other agencies under the umbrella of the Department of Homeland Security. Initially, Strategy X, Inc. is currently closing positive negotiations with several communities to prepare and receive homeland security contract grants in the $4.5 million range.
Clifford A. Lewis, Strategy X, Inc. President and CEO, comments on the process, "There is approximately $6.8 Billion available to states and communities throughout the United States. We are very pleased to be able to provide our expertise and assistance to communities throughout the country. We have gone to great lengths to execute our Homeland Security Solutions and to ensure our contribution in the civil homeland security efforts we've acquired a strong Department of Homeland Security contracts officer with over 30 years of experience to assist in our acquisition of these civil contract grants."
The Department of Homeland Security grants program is responsible for allotting monies in the pursuit of assessing the vulnerabilities of the nation's critical infrastructure and cyber security threats and takes the lead in evaluating these vulnerabilities and coordinating with other federal, state, local, and private entities to ensure the most effective response. Included on the list are those administered by the Office of Domestic Preparedness (ODP), the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), and the Transportation Security Administration (TSA). Other Federal agency programs include the Department of Health and Human Services' public health preparedness grants, Department of Justice grants for counter-terrorism and general-purpose law enforcement activities and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) grants for enhancing the security of our Nation's water supplies. The Department of Homeland Security merges all agencies under one roof with the capability to anticipate, preempt and deter threats to the homeland whenever possible, and the ability to respond quickly when such threats do materialize.
Mr. Lewis continued, "We are on a mission to secure our country from the ground up. Our extensive homeland security capabilities offers every community the assistance in the development and submission of their grant packages. As well, we can assist in the required follow up statements of work, request for proposals, and of course provide systems engineering and program management after the grants are awarded."
