Historically, school safety initiatives have addressed issues related to bullying, vandalism, student fights, and weather-related emergencies. However, the continuing threat of school shootings and related violence has compelled administrators to redefine school safety to include an increased focus on campus security. The “wakeup” calls that have pushed schools and universities to take steps to bolster security began with the Columbine High School shooting in 1999 and have been only exacerbated by subsequent mass shooter events at Red Lake Senior High School (2005), Sandy Hook Elementary School (2012), Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School (2018) and Santa Fe High School (2018).

This webinar will discuss how technology, preparation, training, policy and risk assessments can help deter and defend your schools.
