Datawatch Systems grows its Texas presence with new sales manager

Suzanne Tankersley joins team to promote new business and service existing accounts in the Houston Metro region

Houston, TX – October 18, 2013 – Further solidifying its commitment to provide office building security services to a fast-growing roster of commercial landlords and tenants throughout the Greater Houston Metropolitan area, Datawatch Systems, the national leader in building access control systems, is expanding its Houston operations with the addition of a seasoned regional sales manager.

            Suzanne Tankersley, a professional with more than twenty-five years of experience in strategic security sales development and commercial real estate services, has joined the firm to generate new business and service existing accounts throughout the Houston area.   Ms. Tankersley will report to Sean Brown, head of business development for Datawatch Systems.

Peel III, CEO of Datawatch Systems, who added that Ms. Tankersley brings a wealth of experience to bear on her new role.

Ms. Tankersley entered the real estate industry in 1987.  She was the Director of Property Management for Pacific Enterprises, a California-based, full-service real estate investment company that focused on the acquisition and repositioning of multi-family and commercial assets in the southwestern US region.  Her extensive experience as a property manager was further developed working for Pan Pacific Retail Properties, Farallon Real Estate Services and Koll Management Services, among others.

In 2007 after spending two decades in the property management arena, Ms. Tankersley parlayed her commercial and residential real estate experience into the security industry by joining AlliedBarton Security Services. Serving as Business Development Manager in San Diego, California, she developed and sold multi-million dollar security service contracts to a range of businesses associated with commercial real estate, government, healthcare and higher education, among other industry segments. 

Ms. Tankersley is actively involved with several industry organizations, including the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM), the International Facility Management Association (IFMA) and the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS).
