LSI Syncro CS 9286-8e solution provides uninterrupted data availability, cost-efficiency and it's easy to use

City of Industry, California, June 18, 2013 - Sans Digital, a leading provider of high performance storage subsystems, is proud to announce that it’s redundant controller 6G SAS rackmount JBOD enclosures, the AccuSTOR AS316X6R product line, is now officially supported on LSI’s new Syncro CS 9286-8e high-availability solution. The new LSI Syncro CS 9286-8e solution was designed to provide uninterrupted data availability at a fraction of the cost of existing high availability (HA) solutions but without the complexity and headaches that it was once associated with. By utilizing two RAID controller cards (Syncro CS 9286-8e) instead of the conventional use of a server’s HBA controller card/operating system (OS), users can create a OS independent redundant server failover cluster when used in conjunction with Sans Digital’s AccSTOR Redundant 6G SAS Controller JBODS such as the AS212X6R (2U, 12-bay), AS316X6R (3U, 16-bay), and the AS424X6R (4U, 24-bay). Sans Digital’s AccuSTOR Redundant 6G SAS Controller Enclosures together with LSI’s Syncro CS, make use of storage clustering scenarios where controller to controller connectivity is provided via the SFF-8088 SAS interface, providing a more resourceful shared server storage and continuous availability for direct attached storage (DAS) settings. This newly developed DAS failover clustering allows for data load balancing, ensuring that data usage is accessing the most responsive server to help boost performance and help prevent any one server from being overused.
High-availability systems are a vital component to nearly all businesses regardless of size or industry. When a business or organization halts to a stop, everything else will soon follow which is usually efficiency and profits. Systems running business-critical applications such as web servers, electronic commerce, or virtual machines are no longer accessible and the results can come with disastrous consequences such as profit lost, reduced productivity, and reduced customer satisfaction. Sans Digital’s AccuSTOR redundant SAS JBOD enclosures together with LSI Syncro CS solutions are designed to provide small-to-medium sized business (SMB) and enterprises with fully redundant shared storage and application failover without the cost or complexity of other solutions such as storage area networks (SAN) enclosures. Using two RAID-enabled controller cards, the Syncro CS 9286-8e solution allows an administrator to build a redundant, simplified server failover cluster with volume servers and AccuSTOR redundant SAS JBOD enclosures. Syncro CS uses storage clustering where controller to controller connectivity is provided through the SAS interface, providing more efficient shared server storage and continuous availability for direct attached storage (DAS) environments..
“The official compatibility of the Sans Digital’s redundant 6G SAS product line for use with LSI’s Syncro CS 9286-8e controller, offers added reassurance to customers looking for cost effective fail-over cluster solution without compromising speed and reliability,” said Stanley Chan, Director of Business Development at Sans Digital. “Sans Digital and participating customers have long approved the use of LSI cards with our enclosures; however, the official release in LSI’s compatibility list adds another layer of trust and support on our already popular SAS enclosure product lines.”
