Ioimage to Be Distributed by Northern Video Systems

Intelligent video products manufacturer ioimage is expanding its presence in North America. The company announced today that Northern Video Systems, a top distributor of security and surveillance products, will be picking up the ioimage product line for North American distribution.

The product line from ioimage has been focused on bring plug-and-play connectivity to intelligent video applications, and the company's analytics are embedded in ioimage video encoders and intelligent cameras, including the company's new 3-megapixel network camera. Intelligent video products have typically been adopted by high-security and high-value installations, such as critical infrastructure.

"We are excited to represent ioimage since its products offer off-the-shelf intelligent video solutions," said Brian James, vice president of Northern Video, in a statement announcing the addition of ioimage to their distribution line. "This kind of solution will appeal to small and mid-size security sites that have been slow to embrace video analytics because of the involved complexity and costs."
