WEST DES MOINES, Iowa, September 14, 2006 — Westec InterActive, the leader in intelligent business solutions that improve operations and profits by using digital surveillance and monitoring services, today announced that technology industry veteran Jon Bolen has joined the company as the new Chief Technology Officer.
The announcement comes as Westec continues to establish its intelligent business solutions with industry-leading products such as the iVR, intelligent video recorder and Remote Management System (RMS) that turns an existing digital video security system into an enterprise-wide robust, managed video and data network.

As CTO, Bolen’s principal responsibilities will include establishing the roadmap for Westec’s technology development, strengthening the company’s technical competencies and establishing the vision for new product development.
Bolen brings more than 15 years experience of operational leadership to his CTO position at Westec. Most recently, Bolen helped transform the product and solution packages for Trax Retail Solutions that lead to making Trax one of the top business intelligence vendors in the retail industry.
Bolen has also served as the general manager of the European operation for Radient Systems where he grew the installed base by more than 400 percent, reduced customer issues by more than half and turned the operations into a successful business unit.
Bolen holds a bachelors degree in marketing from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and an MBA from Goizueta School of Business at Emory University where he graduated as a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
