Mesa, AZ -- IntelaSight, Inc., has deployed its IP Surveillance System at the 63-acre facility of Insurance Auto Auctions (IAA) in Phoenix, Ariz.

Prior to the IntelaSight installation, IAA's security at the Phoenix site consisted of CCTV cameras, security fences, and a number of security guards. IntelaSight was contracted to deter theft and vandalism, a common problem at auto lots throughout the country, and to reduce physical security costs. "We are very excited to be able to demonstrate the superior security and significant cost-savings of the IntelaSight Solution at such a large facility," stated David Ly, CEO and founder of IntelaSight.

IntelaSight now has 16 cameras deployed at the site and has converted one of IAA's existing analog cameras to digital. Together, these cameras effectively monitor the entire facility. IntelaSight's deployment included several Axis 211 network cameras and conversion of high-end CCTV cameras utilizing Axis Communications 2400+ and 2401+ video servers. IntelaSight utilized both wired and wireless networks to deploy the security system. These cameras are monitored live by IntelaSight intervention specialists at their central monitoring facility. Some cameras are monitored 24/7, while others are monitored only after-hours.

IAA specializes in providing insurance companies, car rental companies and other vehicle providers with specialized services regarding the liquidation of total-loss vehicles acquired through the settlement of insurance claims. Insurance Auto Auctions tows and stores vehicles, and facilitates the transfer of title documents for the auctioning of salvage vehicles for their clients. Currently, IAA has 80 locations in the United States.

"Because the IntelaSight deployment is very new, we won't know for a while the amount of actual savings we will realize from replacing a number of our security guards with IntelaSight's security technology" said Charlie Sanders, Branch Manager of IAA Phoenix. "However, we are happy with what we have seen so far. IntelaSight was able to demonstrate proof of concept and I'm hopeful it will prove to be a cost-effective solution for IAA in the long run," added Sanders.

IntelaSight offers a unique, state-of-the-art security solution for businesses. Unlike other security providers, IntelaSight not only installs cameras, but can also monitor the cameras live by intervention specialists from their central monitoring facility in Arizona. IntelaSight's system alleviates the burden on local police of responding to false alarms. IntelaSight's intervention specialists provide live visual verification to police while a crime is actually happening. The IntelaSight security solution is a deterrent, not after-the-fact.

IAA's Branch Manager can also watch the camera feeds from his office or anywhere there is an Internet connection. "Due to the fact that the cameras IntelaSight uses are Internet-based, I enjoy the convenience of checking on my entire facility not only from my office, but also from home or any other location where I can access the Internet," said Sanders.

In addition to the Phoenix installation, IAA has also implemented IntelaSight at facilities in Tucson, Ariz. and Colton, Calif.
