Previously William was the Director, Service Continuity Management for the Intuit Corporation and spend 6 years as the Senior Director, Global Security for Symantec. William has authored numerous articles in trade magazines, is a frequent speaker, and has been interviewed by print and TV media.

Before joining SHSU, he served as Global Director of Crisis Management and Security at LyondellBasell Chemicals, and before that, he was Vice President of Global Asset Protection at Walmart Stores Inc.
Scott retired from the US Foreign Service, Department of State, Bureau of Diplomatic Security (DSS), as a Special Agent-in-Charge. His DSS overseas postings included Rome, Beirut, Khartoum, Moscow, and Algiers.
