Video doorbell camera offered direct to consumers with professional installation

For CES 2021, Vivint announced that its Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro will now be available as a standalone product available for purchase online. The company is currently offering it for $149 with professional installation.

"We believe that an integrated and professionally installed smart home system is still the best option for most customers, but this standalone Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro makes the innovative technology available to more consumers and is an easy first step for new smart home customers," explains Aaron Searle, Vivint's Senior Manager of Public Relations.

According to Searle, the Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro is the first video doorbell designed to intelligently detect packages and proactively deter porch pirates," the company says. "If someone attempts to steal your delivery, its Smart Deter analytics will activate the camera’s deterrent features - a red LED light ring and a warning tone to alert the person that they’ve been spotted. This also triggers a notification to a smartphone."

The Vivint Doorbell Camera Pro also features the industry’s first true 180-degree vertical and 180-degree horizontal field of view, along with a 1:1 aspect ratio, so you can see both the faces of tall visitors and packages left directly below the camera.

This is the second product that Vivint has offered as a standalone product. In 2019, the company released Vivint Car Guard, a service that allows homeowners to manage the security of both their home and car with a single app, giving users the ability to monitor the security, location and diagnostics of a car from anywhere.
