ADT delivers hands-free security automation with a skill available for Amazon Alexa

BOCA RATON, Fla., May 03, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- ADT, a leading provider of security and automation solutions for homes and businesses, today announced the professional installation of Amazon Echo and Echo Dot and the launch of an ADT Pulse Alexa skill available for new and existing home automation customers. ADT Pulse subscribers can now have Alexa-enabled devices set up in their home to allow them to ask Alexa to not only arm, but be one of the first in the industry to disarm, their home security system through simple voice commands and a secure PIN.

ADT’s commitment to deliver exceptional customer service via its signature 24/7 support is now combined with the evolution of the connected home, and the needs of their tech-savvy customers.  

In addition to using voice control to lock and unlock the door, turn on the lights and more, ADT Pulse customers can also ask Alexa to provide the status of their home security system and automation devices. Once a voice command is given to Alexa, she will provide feedback to confirm the action has taken place.
